Day 58

The bear has an ear infection. Bummer.... We took her in to the doctor because she had a yucky cough, so the ear problem took us by surprise. I don't think it is too bad, she hasn't been fussing much at all.

On another note, I promise to try to start taking pictures of more than just Kayleigh.

Day 57

Ever wonder what the day care people will put your kiddo in if they run out of clean clothes? Well, now you know. A chicken onesie and Santa pants..... to further embarrass your baby for having a dead-beat mom that thinks that 2 pairs of clothes should be enough, they write the name of the daycare all over their clothes in Sharpie. It's too bad, really..... I was hoping to keep the skiing Santa pants.

I had to share this one too, it just MELTS my heart!

Day 56

Truthfully, I did not take a picture today. I had a sore throat, went running and tanning, and well.... it just didn't get done. So here is one from yesterday. Now that the bear has started moving around more, I just can't get the pictures I want without Sean home. Most of them turn out like this one or her reaching for my camera.
Anyone willing to let me practice on their kids?

Day 55

My baby girl is 7 months old today! I can't believe how time is flying by. She is pushing 19 pounds. She sits, plays alone, and babbles. Her newest trick is army crawling to whatever she wants. She is pretty fast at it too..... baby-proofing here we come!

Poor thing has had a cough the past few days. She spent the better part of the day in bed because she had a 101 fever and was cranky. After a dose of Tylenol, she is already feeling better.

Day 54

My husband is the best! He lets me go run 3 times a week and watches the baby. He even lets me go tan while I am out. He bathes "the bear" every night, reads her a book, and puts her to sleep. The sweetest thing that he does is wash the bottles after I go to bed so that they are all clean when I wake up. It's the little things that mean the most.

To thank him for being the sweet husband that he is, I bought him these really fun dish-washin' gloves from the dollar spot. Even though he thought they were terribly girly and small, he washed dishes in them for me tonight.

Day 53

Ok, I admit it. I am a Photoshop junkie. I just can't help myself. I adore overexposed skin and burnt edges. Sometime when I have had a long day at school, I will take 5 minutes and edit a picture at my desk during planning. It magically makes me feel like I can take on the rest of the school day.

Enough of my ranting that no one who reads this blog cares about.....

Day 52

Meet Miko
One of my dad's "babies" has been missing for 2 weeks, and they found him yesterday! Sweet Amanda, who I'm sure earned some big time in-law-to-be brownie points, put signs up and long story short.... someone found him and called! They are so happy.

And just for fun, here is his best bud Hank.

Day 51

My new favorite picture! Too bad her eye still looks a little yucky.

On another note, 7..... yes 7 school days until TAKS is OVER..... For the first time I am not freaking out, I guess I have finally figured out that they will pull it out in the end. I am truly just ready to teach something more exciting. UGHHH.....

Day 50

Wahoo! I made it 50 days, I am SO proud! I had an ahh-ha moment about sun flare today. I practiced on our "protector" this evening while he watched his "post." Maybe next time I can find a more exciting subject!

Day 49

Kayleigh has a bacterial eye infection. She is on eye drops and is at home with daddy today. You can tell in the picture that her right eye is a little swollen. Even still, I ADORE this picture!

Day 48

Many of you noticed that Kayleigh has her first little boo boo. We have no idea how she got it. She beats herself up at night, I guess. I didn't photoshop it out because I wanted to remember it.

In other news, by somewhat-popular demand, I have decided to ditch the date on my pictures. Probably a good idea since last week we reverted back to January and I didn't even notice.

Day 46

Check out that little smirk! I am a little biased, but I think she has GOT to be the most darling thing in the world.

Day 45

Happy Valentine's Day! Thank you for my outfit grandma! This was the best picture I could get of it. The bear has now figured out how to go from sitting to her hands and knees. Also, this morning I put her down on her tummy and she was playing, when I came back she had magically made it to sitting up! I can't believe I missed it!
Seany Bear made me a Valentine's dinner complete with fajitas and refried beans. He is probably the best husband ever :).

Day 44

Day 43

Meal time is so much more enjoyable for Sean and I now that we found these. They look like mesh bags with a handle. You can fill them with food and baby can chew on them, but not choke. We learned really quickly that bananas squished too much and made a huge mess! Here, she is enjoying a frozen sweet potato cube. These will seriously keep her busy at least 30 minutes..... just long enough for us to eat and catch up for the day.

Day 42

This is my favorite dinner. I adore Chipotle! We have been bad eating it just about every Monday night. This picture makes my mouth water!

Day 41

Check out the light pole!

Day 40

While the boys were in their meetings, I decided to take a nature walk. I wanted to take alot more pictures, but my camera got an error. I didn't figure out that it was just the aperture ring until we got home..... bummer.

Day 39

1. I absolutely LOVED Rosana's UGGS!
2. We wanted to play out in the snow so, we decided to go sledding! It was not as great as we had hoped, being that there weren't any really good hills. We still had a great time!
3. Look at how close to the lake we were sledding..... probably not such a good idea.

Day 38

Have you missed me? This is where I have been.... I know you are jealous! Seriously, Lake Tahoe was the most gorgeous place that I have ever been. We skied, sledded, and played around the lake. It was a fabulous trip and we are SO grateful to Sean's company for taking us. Doesn't this picture seriously look like it from a magazine???

Day 37

Ok babysitters, momma gave me a bath and I am all squeaky clean and ready for your visit this weekend!

Day 36

These are my favorite shoes of Kayleighs. It really is too bad that they won't stay on her cute little feet. Maybe one day Sean will buy me a pair of cute little UGG boots like these.... wink wink.

Monday, February 4, 2008

Day 35

I was DYING to tak Kayleigh outside after I got home from work. I envisioned these beautiful pictures of her first time just "hanging" out, enjoying Mother Nature. BUT between daddy coming home, Cosmo barking at the homeless cats, and the lure of mommy's lens cap hanging from her camera, THIS is the best I got.

PS - I had a really hard time with exposure here, I hardly ever shoot outside..... something still looks"off" about the light.

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Day 34

Gee, I wonder who gave her this idea! Socks just don't stand a chance in this household.

Saturday, February 2, 2008

Day 33

I made it a whole month with this picture a day thing.... I am actually really proud of myself. We babysat Mr. C. today. I thought this picture of him turned out too cute not to share.
We hope you feel better little man!

Day 32

I've been trying to be so good about not posting 2 pictures, but since these were both snapshots, I thought it was ok!
I ADORE the first picture of Kayleigh. This is how I will always rememebr her at this age.... I just love that cheeky smile!
Today we went to dinner with Caroline and Allison. They really wanted to be on the blog..... so here they are (pop-up flash and all).

Day 31

Starting to hate sock sorting at an early age....
