Whole 'Lotta Sewing Going On!

WARNING: This post contains some pictures with some seriously wonky colors!

I have taken advantage of my nice long break to get some projects out of the way. I am really sad that I have to go back to school tomorrow, I think I will dream of sewing the whole time I am there!
I worked on these tonight. I want to know what you think. I was trying to knock-off these, but with scraps that I had here. I will go buy the other stuff if these turn out. I am pretty proud of my self for figuring these out without a pattern. What I wanted to ask you was, do they look like houseshoes? I feel like mine do, but that lady's don't. They definitely need more work, and no they are not finished yet.

A Christmas outfit for Kayleigh. The pants are hanging funny, they don't really look crooked.

A padded case for my new phone so it does not get scratched.

This has been my biggest project. I am making Kayleigh this for Christmas. I am almost finished with it, just have a few more window to install. I have had so much fun with this, I have decided to make another. I will be sure to show you when it is finished.

And finally, an I-Spy bag that was supposed to be a present, but I learned a valueable lesson about fleece, woven fabrics, and very heavy poly-fill beads. I will be making a replacement this week!

Oh Christmas Tree!

We finished putting ornaments on the tree today. I would love to say that Kayleigh helped, but she really could have cared less about the whole process. I love having a big tree again, if only I could find my tree skirt!

Poor Cosmo

Lately, everyone keeps on commenting about how big Cosmo looks. I was starting to feel like a bad mommy because I let my little boy get fat. Well, it appears that it was not extra pounds, just ALOT of hair. Poor Cosmo looks naked now, but at least he can see.

The Holidays are Here!

My kiddos

I love to watch my kiddos play together. Cosmo is so sweet to Kayleigh. She chases him around the house calling his name, he loves it. She will give him kisses and hand him his bone. It is so adorable!

Crunch, Crunch

Kayleigh loves to crunch around in the leaves in the front yard when we come home in the evening. I have been making piles of leaves trying to get her to jump in them, but she just kicks it.

Oh, and check out those pants. They fit a month ago, but she just keeps sprouting up and hasn't gained any weight in months. I think I might have to go buy her some smaller pants if she doesn't fatten up a little bit here!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Bear woke up last night throwing up, and kept it up for a few hours. Ughhh. She stopped around 3 and was ready to play. THANKFULLY, she has been feeling good all day. Though we didn't think we would go celebrate with family, they gave us the OK to bring her over. We ate and ate, and then ate some more. Then, we went with Jackie and her boyfriend Ben to go see 4 Christmases. I truly have no idea when we went to the movies last, probably around Christmas last year. It was nice!

Thank you God for:
1. my amazing husband. Without him, I would be lost. He takes such great care of me and my family, I simply could not ask for more.
2. My beautiful daughter.
3. My parents.
4. The roof over my head.
5. My job.
6. Your everlasting grace.
7. The food you put on our table.
8. Our country.

I LOVE THEM!

This weekend my (rock star) friend Leforce went out and shot some pictures of us. I mainly wanted a Christmas card picture, but had a couple of ideas for things I wanted for the house. I am SOOOOO happy with how they turned out. I have been wanting a picture like the one above for quite some time. this one is destined for my walls, probably big.

THANK YOU LEFORCE!

The Muffin Monster

Kayleigh has now figured out that she can reach on the counters and just help herself to whatever she wants!

Sic'Em Bears!

We went to the Baylor/ A&M game this weekend. It was so exciting to see Baylor actually win, especially against the Aggies. We had alot of fun, I didn't really take many pictures. It was very, very cold!

I'm Sorry, Kayleigh

I really thought that you would like the bubbles. I had no idea that when they started coming towards you, that you would jump out of the water screaming and brushing them off of you. Had I known that it would ruin your evening, I would have never squirted them in. Oh, and daddy and I weren't laughing at you, we were.... well.... yeah, we were laughing at you.

I promise that I will never put bubbles in your bath again.

Love, Mommy

Hair.

I need suggestions on how to fix Kayleigh's hair. As you can see, it is quickly hitting the out of control mark. She wears pig tails alot. Bows seem to disappear into thin air when I put them in her hair.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Twilight Zone

Tonight, the Bear, Sean, and I went to Northpark to eat dinner. We do that alot on Mondays, I hate to cook on Mondays. I had Tomato Basil soup from La Madeline..... yum.

While we were there we wandered through Anthropologie because my favorite jeans from there have a hole in them now. Of course they don't have them anymore, even thought I bought them a couple of months ago. Anyways, next thing I know.... Sean is talking to the sales lady about candles. Yep, my husband who does not like anything that may be found in the "housewares" section of any store was talking about what scent they use in there. Then..... he bought us 2 candles for the house. It was the strangest thing ever.... is tonight a full moon or something? Now our house smells like Anthro., I love it.

I Finally Finished!

I have been working in this apron for a while. It is for my friend Molly, whose birthday is today (yeah, my present is late)! She wanted a new apron, but before I finished this she bought this one. I hope she likes mine too, even thought it isn't as fancy as her other one.

I love sewing for other people. The whole time I am working, I think about the person it is for. So here are the top 5 things I love about my friend Molly:
1. She ALWAYS puts others first.
2. She punches like a boy.
3. She is crazy frugal, she even makes her own laundry detergent.
4. She is crafty like me.
5. She will never read this because she is the last human on Earth that does not have internet in their house.

LOVE THOSE CURLS!

Leforce and I did a lens swap this week. She needed my wide angle and I have been longing to play with a telephoto lens. I love it, just look how creamy that back ground is! This reminds me so much of college, do you have time for a story? In college I was supposed to live with some girl named Crissy. I hate that name, it reminds me of the annoying dog that I grew up next to. Anyways, she decided to move into Kokernot (I don't know why) with a friend. That's where one of my best friends Jen comes in. We were the "girls in Collins 555," at least that's what we called ourselves. We lived in the same bedroom for FOUR years. Jen is obviously one of the most tolerant people in the world, I can only imagine how hard it would be to live in such small quarters with me. The whole time we were in college, we wore the same size clothes, shoes, and even had almost the same glasses perscription. Yes, I wore my roomates glasses. We shared EVERYTHING. When we moved out of the 9108, we had no idea which items belonged to who. That is why I have no problem letting her play with my expensive lens. Why did I tell you this story? I don't know. There are much better Jen stories, mabe I will tell you another later.

New Words

Kayleigh's new favorite words:

"mine, mine,.... NO MINE!"

Sean and I think it is cute because Kayleigh does not usually say many much. I guess she picked up this FABULOUS habit at daycare. Oh well, at least now we know that she can talk.

Baylor Homecoming Parade

Little Bears

We got up bright and early to make it to the parade Saturday morning. It was SO nice out, not cold like in years past. I didn't get many of the actual parade, I was too busy enjoying it. Check out Leforce's blog, she was clicking away. I am sure she will post them soon.

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween in Waco this year. We traveled down Friday afternoon. When we got in, we went to the church festival with Lee, Kristy, and Pricer, ate some Bush's, handed candy out at Lee and Kristy's new house, trick-or treated at my mom's, and finally landed at Sean's parent's where we spent the night. Kayleigh could have cared less about the whole ordeal, but we had fun!

Oh, and just for fun, here is Halloween one year ago.

I HATE the Time Change.

But this kid sure is cute!

"Old Faithful"

The Pesky Seat-Mate

We made the treck to Waco this weekend for Baylor Homecoming. Poor Kayleigh has to share a seat with her furry brother. Kayeligh is SUCH a great traveler. She always sleeps everywhere we go, until Cosmo climbs in her seat with her so that he can get a good look. He is SUCH a pest, I have to unbuckle myself to shove him out of her seat. A little while later, he will sneak back up there. Eesh!
