Day 120

(I need to buy some pants that actually fit!)

I understand that some of my friends may make fun of me BIG TIME for this (except maybe Molly, but it is hard to read a blog when you have no internet). I made myself grocery bags (aren't they SO cute?). Let me preface this by saying: I am not trying to "go green" That term annoys me. You see, it all started when my friend Tara sent me this video called "stuff." It really got me thinking about how wasteful I am. I have been trying to make little changes like at least recycling my Diet Pepsi cans and such. I hate how everytime I go to the grocery store, I bring home at least 8 plastic bags that promptly get thrown away (except Target, they are good for the diaper Genie). So, I am now "that person" in the line... and I feel good about it.

Do you think I need more than 5?

Day 118

Kayleigh wants to eat everything thing that we do. She LOVES bananas!

Just digging through her toy box, pulling out off of the books.

Day 118

Today we were doing our grocery shopping after church. I had the bear in the Moby Wrap so that she didn't have to touch the icky cart. As we were discussing the weeks dinners, Kayleigh looked right up and Sean and said "Da Da" and waved at him. She has been saying da da for quite sometime, but never directly at him. It was one of the sweetest things that I have ever seen (even though I was wildly jealous!). I thought I was going to cry right there by the canned produce, now let's work on Ma Ma.

Today I was bummed because my friends were having fun without me in Waco. To make myself feel better, I decided to sew. I made this cute little retro dress for Kayleigh out of a dress that I had in my Goodwill stack. Can we say recycle??? I am still working on the bloomers. Does anyone happen to have a pattern they would like to share?
I also made myself a knockoff of this cute little convertible dress. I haven't fixed my hair or face today, so you just get to see the dress.

Day 117

We finally got my fries out of the oven.

Day 116

Kayleigh is feeling MUCH better. Her fever broke sometime Thursday night. She went to the doctor today and they pretty much ruled out everything except a "fever virus."

Sean's mom came to help watch the Bear today. I plan on sleeping in LATE tomorrow!

PS: I am BUMMED OUT that I am missing my trip to Waco this weekend. I miss my friends and and sad I don't get to see my mom and mimi and matty. And Molly, the dress is BEAU-TIFUL.

Day 115

Please pray for our family.

Kayleigh has had a fever teetering between about 102 and 104 since last night despite giving her Motrin, baths, and all that other good stuff. We are all exhausted. She only wants to sleep on us. Since last night she has gotten less than 5 hours of sleep including naps. We don't know what to do.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Sick, sick baby. We thought the Bear had another ear infection, but she didn't. She does have some kind of virus with a 102.7 fever. ICK. She is SO fussy.

On another note, she has a tooth coming in on the top row.

We are about to get a bad storm. You know how I feel about that.

Day 114

The Bear was so proud of herself after this little stunt. Just look at her, 3 puffs at once!

Day 113

I admit it, I didn't take a picture today. I feel yucky, you know..... stuffy head, green phlegm, that yucky stuff.

I did however, spend some time on the couch reminiscing through the pictures I have on my computer. I found this gem (please read sarcasm in this statement).
I truly thought it was not only a fantastic photo of Price, but that I did a really good job of processing it. I guess I didn't notice the fact that he was so red that he looked like he had been sunburned after only 2 hours of life.

So instead of a new picture..... a new edit for today just to show you that I have learned ALOT about how to correctly use Photoshop.

So there you go Cheese, a cute picture of a wrinkly, pinkish (not red) sweet Baby Pricer hand to replace the terrible one I gave you 8 months ago.

Day 112

I have no idea what to do with the top of my wedding cake. We didn't eat it on our first anniversary (we forgot... oops!), but we got it out for our second back in December. I just don't have the heart to trash it. So for now it sits in the fridge and is a reminder of my wedding day every time I go get a Diet Pepsi.

Archived

So, I hear that my blog is too slow to load. Since I want you to keep coming back, I archived my posts.

If you want to see previous posts, check out the bar at the right side of the page under my picture.

My cute "computer nerd" husband informed me that before this page loaded in 11.25 seconds, now you it should only take 2.75 seconds. You can thank me later.

Day 111

Daddy gives baths because I am afraid of drowning.
I feed because daddy is afraid of choking.
Seriously, we were made for each other.

Saturday, April 19, 2008

We went on a date tonight. Thanks Jenn and Kenn and Connor for watching "the Bear."

Day 110

Remember how I think it's crazy that I have to pay a pet deposit and not a baby deposit? Well, add a husband deposit to the list also. Sean was making me some fries for lunch and thought it would be a good idea to "latch" the oven just in case. He is always so cautious. Well, as most of us know, that latch cleans the oven. Something broke and the oven is still latched, with my lunch inside. Good thing we live in an apartment where we just call someone to fix things.

Love you baby, next time.... don't pull the "safety latch"

Uncle Steve is silly.

109

Kayleigh is getting another tooth. She is so funny about her teeth, she WILL NOT show them off. I have only seen the first one a couple of times. I would LOVE to get a picture of it, but as it looks, today will not be the day. Instead, you get a picture of the face we get every time we try to look at her teeth.

On another note: I started this blog for me since before, "the bear" had her own blog. Well, she has taken over mine too. Sorry if you are getting tired of seeing endless pictures of her. It's just there's usually not much else exciting going on around here lately. I will try to be better about making some non - "bear" posts. Thanks for reading my blog everyday!

Day 108

The school nurse thinks I have a scratch on my eye and recommended that I wear my glasses for a few days. WHOA, is that hard with a baby! She takes them right off every time...... UGH.

Day 106

Just talking to the fruit. I love how she has started to point at things.

"Give me the camera"

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

Sean and Cosmo worked on our taxes last night. This is why Cosmo loves his daddy so much more than me. I can't handle him always on my lap when I am trying to do something. He just loves Sean. They share a pillow at night (not kidding). They go outside and play. They share people food. It's funny to think that *I* was the one that wanted a puppy so badly.

It makes me laugh that we had to pay a $300 pet deposit for Cosmo, and he has not destroyed anything. We didn't have to pay a baby deposit..... maybe they should rethink that.

Day 106

Just a little story for the grandparents:

Kayleigh has a purple and blue elephant that says a bedtime prayer when you pull it's eye mask over it's eyes. For some reason, she has decided that this is her favorite toy right now. Note the picture above of her trying to crawl with it. Over the weekend, I let her take naps with it in her crib, but have been taking it out at nights (scared of SIDS). Well, Sunday night when I put her in bed she grabbed it before I could. I took it from her and put it on her bed railing. She began to wail SO loudly (could you hear her Tara?). Then, all of the sudden she had stopped. I peeked in her room and she had pulled it down and was laying ON TOP OF IT looking at me with her thumb in her mouth. I laughed and let her fall to sleep with it. I told Sean to go grab it before we went to sleep. Well, she still hadn't gone to sleep and was still laying on top of it. We decided to just take it from her quickly and hope she wouldn't notice. HA bad idea.... as soon as Sean grabbed it from her, she LOST it. She screamed and screamed. We could not stop laughing.

Day 105

This box is currently the Bear's favorite toy. She can pull up with it, scoot it around the room, ride in it like a car, chew on it..... the possibilities are endless!

On another note, I have a 10:00 bed time now. If you see that I post later than that, please fuss at me. I am staying up WAY too late at night.

Oh, and mom I have called you several times today. Call me back. I LOVE YOU!

Sunday, April 13, 2008

Had my first "session" today. I only edited 2 pictures tonight. I would love to hear what you think about them. The first is one of my favorite pictures ever.

Day 104

I have AT LEAST 10 pictures like this from just this week! Quit grabbing the camera, Kayleigh!

The Bear got a new ride on toy today. This is really the first toy that we have bought her. She was so excited when Sean was putting it together, she knew it was special for her. In the last 2 she is waving bye bye. She started that yesterday, SO CUTE!

Day 103

Connor, George, and Kayleigh just a swingin' away. I am trying to convince Sean that we can hang one of these on the balcony. Kayleigh LOVED it.

Day 102

I hope Kayleigh knows what I looked like when she was this age. There are so many pictures of her and daddy and NOT mommy!

Thursday, April 10, 2008

The bear got her first injury from another child today. She got a pretty good cut on her nose from another kiddo at daycare. I bet that baby was just getting her back. When I picked up Kayleigh the other day, the daycare ladies were telling about how Kayleigh was crawling on top the other babies and laughing hysterically about it.

And YES, that is water all over her shirt. She has been watching Cosmo drink too much lately. If Cosmo is drinking and he gets distracted, he forgets to swallow. Water goes everywhere. That's pretty much what was happening to her today.
