Kaska Farm

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Kaska family farm with some of our friends. It was cold, wet and extremely muddy. After the Boyd's car got stuck in the mud, we had a great time. There were rubber duck races, a tractor cow, a corn maze, and a box of corn to play in like sand. Even though we were covered in mud, we had a GREAT time!

Why you don't bargain with a toddler.....

... without checking the weather first.

We have been having a problem with Kayleigh eating NOTHING for dinner. Not only do I know that she will be hanging on the fridge in a few hours begging for "yo-yo," she is wasting so much food! Most nights we will bargain with her. After playing with her food through dinner last night, we told her that she had to finish her "yo-yo" before we could go swing. I left it on the table for a little bit while I cleaned up, and after a while she came over and finished it..... just in time for it to start raining. Being that she is 2 and VERY difficult to reason with, Sean had to go stand out in the rain and swing her. She enjoyed every minute of it (and so did I from the porch!).

Goin' to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

We decided to go spend some much needed family time together at the zoo on Sunday. Daddy has been gone for a week and it was really nice to go play together. We went ahead and got a family membership, so now we can go when ever we want!

October already???

Where does the time go?
With all of my crazy pregnancy hormones, I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that I can't keep the Bear little forever. Eesh. It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home, I was elated to see a cheeky little smile from her round face, then coaxed her to sit up and crawl. I couldn't believe when she walked, turned 1, and started to talk. I can't believe that she is now 2 and we can carry on sweet conversations all day and watch Sesame Street together. She can count, knows MOST of her colors, and can even match the correct lid with her sippy cups. She puts her dirty clothes away every night before her bath and tries so hard to be a big girl by washing herself.
As sad as it is that she is not my sweet little baby, I can be comforted that she still cuddles, and kisses. She still wants me to carry her around after her bath in a towel. She still is excited to see me every morning. She still likes me to put Butt Paste on her tush, just like when she was a baby. She is still my baby.... but I feel like everyday that slips a little further away. MY how I wish time would stop, even if just for a few moments.
