Around our House...

Kayleigh has been obsessed with art. I let her have glue, scissors (plastic, of course), markers, and crayons. The stickers were taken away after she put a huge unicorn on the TV and hearts all over the bookshelf I made.
Bubba has a love affair with the door stoppers. They will keep him busy for at least 2 minutes!

Kayleigh gets in bed with her brother every morning and after both of his naps. They jump and play together. It is cute and sweet until she just goes in there because she is ready to have someone to play with and he is ASLEEP!

My Little Fish

Kayleigh has turned into an absolute fish, thanks to going to the Y a lot this summer. She puts her arms over her noodle and swims around the deep end like a little pro. She will also jump in at Daddy and swim a few feet to get to him. I am sad that it is going to be cold soon and we won't get to swim anymore.

Ear Infections

Bubba has had 2 ear infections in the last month. That's all, just wanted it written down so I will remember.

9 months old!

How can it be that my little toot is already 9 months old? He is just too adorable for words. He says "ma ma" and "da da." He is a little mess and into EVERYTHING! He can stand up without holding on, but is not trying to take step (thank goodness!). He has 2 teeth and 3 more trying to make their way in. He is obsessed with his bottle and freaks out everytime he sees it! His favorite toys are still Kayleigh, the activity table, and his "chewy." He hates to sit still long enough to get his diaper changed and I usually have to chase his bare toosh around to get him diapered.

7 months

My little Bubba is already 7 months old. I. Can't. Believe. It. He is just the most adorable thing.
He has 2 teeth.
He is pulling up on toys.
He is reaching out for mommy.
He is babbling. Mostly Da da da and Ba ba ba.
He is sleeping 12 hours since we gave him a lovey to sleep with. He takes 2 naps.
He still thinks his sister is the best toy.
His favorite other toys are his exersaucer, bouncer, and kitchen.
He is trying VERY hard to crawl, but can't seem to sync his knees and his hands.
He is just the most adorable little thing ever!

Little Bubba

I love my little Bubba. It is so hard for me to believe that I left Kayleigh at daycare for 9 hours a day when she was this age. Until last weekend I had not left him anywhere more than 4 hours. I love spending so much time with him. Recently he has started reaching out for me to pick him up, it just melts my insides. I absolutely LOVE staying at home with him (oh year and K-Bear too).

Teefers

Case has gotten 2 teefers in the last couple of weeks. He is a VERY fussy teething baby. If it weren't for frozen bananas, Tylenol, and my baby carrier... I don't know what I would have done.

My Little Fish

Kayleigh started swimming lessons this year. I was amazed at how well she did and how much she learned. She can now "monkey crawl" all the way around the pool, go under water, and swim in the deep end with just a noodle!

Half a year?

6 Months Already?
Little Bubba, you have gotten to be so much fun lately. You laugh at just about anything. You sit up by your self and inch all over the floor to get to the things you want. You love your sister more than anything, and she feels the exact same about you. You have gotten to be a little "porker" weighing in at 17 and a half pounds. You are in the 50th percentile for height and weight. You have FINALLY started sleeping through the night. We call you Little Bubba, Caseter, or Case. You have also started taking bottles of formula. I am so thankful for the consistent 11 hours of sleep you have been giving me. You have noticed recently that we have a dog and you grab at him every chance you get. I enjoy you so much more than you will ever know. You light up my day. You are a good baby, but you do have your "moments." You are a gift from God. Please stop growing up .... please?

Second Baby....

Oh second baby, we are not convinced that you are going to break as easily as we thought your sister would.... obviously.

Catching up!

The Bear played dress up with Bubba and Daddy. Sorry Guys!

Daddy and Kayleigh getting ready to go jogging. Kayleigh thinks she needs to stretch to sit in the stroller.

We have had several bunny nests in the back yard. I begged and begged, but Sean wouldn't let me keep one as a pet.

Na Na giving Casen his dinner.

Kayleigh eating up the attention Matty and Amanda were giving her. They are having a tea party.

Kayleigh Bear painting a masterpiece.

Stickers!

Kayleigh "decorated" Bubba while I was making lunch the other day. I love how when she torments him he just looks at her and smiles, it melts my heart. The best part was the next day there was a Snow White sticker in his dirty diaper. Now we have a strict rule, no stickers on Casen.

Thoughts from A Year at Home

It has been an entire year that I have been at home with my kiddos this week. I have learned so much and have eaten so many of my own words. Here is what I have learned so far:
- That there could not possibly be a more rewarding job.
- There also could not be a more exhausting job.
- I don't get to watch Regis and Kelly everyday like I thought stay at home moms did.
- I have been amazed at how selfless I have become.
- I can't believe the messes that can be made in just a few hours at home.
- I have come to love watching Dr. Phil while I pick up during nap time.
- I can't remember the last time I went to the bathroom alone.
- I look forward to reading books, swinging, playing with toys, feeding babies, praying before naps, not missing milestones, cooking in the afternoons, and loving my babies all day long.
- The grocery store is SO much nicer at 10AM.
- That many days I am not sure I would make it through without Kristy, Jennifer, Brooke Kelly, and Emily. Thank you all so much for letting me jump in to your little playgroup!
