Kayleigh is getting to be more like a little girl every day. She knows all of her numbers (thanks to Daddy) and her letters. She has even started to write a few letters on her own. She is very into pretending to go to Chick-fila, HEB, playing school, running errands, going dancing. Her babies go everywhere with us and she is very occupied with taking care of them. She is very maternal to all of her friends and their siblings, she feels the need to take care of everyone. Her favorite thing to do is go spend the night with her grandparents and pretty much asks daily if she can go to their house "just for a minute."

Case is really getting to a fun and exhausting age. He goes ninety-to-nothing from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed. He has started to say a few words like banana, thank you, bye bye, da da. He loves to go outside and slide and sit in his swing. He is a Momma and Da Da's boy and wants to be carried around all the time. Even though we try to feed him a balanced diet, he mostly just wants to eat deli meat and fruit... most other food items get thrown on the ground. He still MUST have his "chewy" when he sleeps. He loves to follow his sister around everywhere and play with her toys. Just this week he has been really into cars and drives them around on the ground.

My Little One Year Old

Little Buddy,
I cannot you have been with our little family for an entire year already. I can't imagine life without you. You are such a joy to us. You are so full of life. Kayleigh is still so proud and protective of you. You still get so excited in the morning when she runs in your room, I hope you two stay friends forever. Most of the time I call you "The Destroyer," because you are forever getting into things and ripping, throwing, or pouring them out. You have the most adorable little giggle and it really comes out when others are laughing. You want mommy to carry you around all the time. When daddy comes home from work you run to him. You are a real daddy's boy (much to my dismay). You follow him all over the house when he is home. Right now I can only make out 3 words that you say "Da Da" (Daddy) "Daaa Da" (Cosmo, we hear this ALL DAY long and you chase him around and feed him GoldFish) and "bye bye." I love you little man!

I caught some of Casen's first steps a couple of weeks ago on camera. Something about this picture makes me smile, so please excuse the lack of clothing (sorry, mom!). And yes, he spends a lot of time in just a diaper because he is the gooiest, snottiest, drooliest, spit-upiest kid you have ever met.

What Bubba has been up to:
Walking! Yes, this kid has been walking for a couple of weeks.... overachiever.
He still loves his Chewy and MUST have it to sleep and when he gets upset.
He plays in and eats dog food, of course I attempt to stop it.
He is waving and pointing. He loves to play with balls. He adores his sister and wants to follow her everywhere. He says Ma ma and Da Da. He has had 4 ear infections. He drinks 4 6 oz bottles and eats some table food. He hates (and I mean HATES) scrambled eggs. He loves Natural Cheetos. He has the most adorable smile in the whole world.

Kayleigh Bear Update:

Here is what the Bear has been up to lately:
She sings all the time, and I mean all. the. time. Most of the time she is making up songs to the tunes of songs she knows, it is hilarious. She still loves her brother so much. She always wants to wake him up and play with him and gets bored when he is not around. She is really in to Veggie Tale's movies, Tinkerbell, All Disney Princesses, pretending to clean her kitchen, cheese, "reading" books to her brother, coloring, painting, cutting, glueing, playing with baby dolls, "reading" the Bible and OF COURSE White Dog. She tells me everyday that we can be best friends forever. I love this kid.

Around our House...

Kayleigh has been obsessed with art. I let her have glue, scissors (plastic, of course), markers, and crayons. The stickers were taken away after she put a huge unicorn on the TV and hearts all over the bookshelf I made.
Bubba has a love affair with the door stoppers. They will keep him busy for at least 2 minutes!

Kayleigh gets in bed with her brother every morning and after both of his naps. They jump and play together. It is cute and sweet until she just goes in there because she is ready to have someone to play with and he is ASLEEP!

My Little Fish

Kayleigh has turned into an absolute fish, thanks to going to the Y a lot this summer. She puts her arms over her noodle and swims around the deep end like a little pro. She will also jump in at Daddy and swim a few feet to get to him. I am sad that it is going to be cold soon and we won't get to swim anymore.

Ear Infections

Bubba has had 2 ear infections in the last month. That's all, just wanted it written down so I will remember.

9 months old!

How can it be that my little toot is already 9 months old? He is just too adorable for words. He says "ma ma" and "da da." He is a little mess and into EVERYTHING! He can stand up without holding on, but is not trying to take step (thank goodness!). He has 2 teeth and 3 more trying to make their way in. He is obsessed with his bottle and freaks out everytime he sees it! His favorite toys are still Kayleigh, the activity table, and his "chewy." He hates to sit still long enough to get his diaper changed and I usually have to chase his bare toosh around to get him diapered.
