Casen's First Bath

He pretty much loved it, he only cried for a few minutes.

...and YES we bathed him a long time ago, I am just behind on blogging.

Christmas Blogging

Christmas blogging is done.... Scroll on down!

Christmas Day

This is just a hodge podge of pictures from Christmas. Sean took most of them because I was a little out of it since Casen had not slept well the night before.

We spent the morning with Sean's family and the afternoon with mine. It was a long day and by the end of it Kayleigh had had enough. We loved spending time with our families. We ate too much and got way too many presents.... so it was a GOOD DAY.

Never Want to Put Him Down!

Visit with Santa

Since Casen was only a week old, we decided it was not a good idea to drive to NorthPark to see the fancy Santa this year. So we settled for Waco Santa. Kayleigh had been telling me for weeks that she didn't want to sit on Santa's lap, so I figured it wouldn't go well. When we got there she started acting pretty shy, but then she saw the snow. By snow I mean soap bubbles blown in the air, but she ate it anyway.... ick. Anyway, she was not crazy about Santa but this year she held back her tears. She even told him what she wanted for Christmas... "cookies."

Christmas Cooking

This year I actually cooked for our Christmas family celebrations. I have never done this before, I guess you can say I have been a moocher. Casen and I made broccoli cheese rice casserole (is this what it is called mom?) and Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding. Casen was a good little helper as you can see. Hopefully next year I will cook more.

Cookies for Santa

The Bear and I made cookies to leave out for Santa. She kept calling it playdough, it was hilarious! In true Kayleigh fashion, she was very particular about which cutters to use.

... and of COURSE her favorite part was to help clean up.

I am sure Santa loved them!

3 Weeks Old

Weight: 8 pounds 14 ounces
Length: 21 inches

You are still such a sweet baby. You love to be cuddled for hours, which Daddy and I love. You eat at midnight, 5:30ish, and 8:30ish which I think is great. You love to be carried around in the baby carrier and will sleep for hours in it while I play with your sister and clean the house. You burp like a grown man, it catches me off guard every time. I love you so much, baby boy!

10 Days Old!

Sweet baby boy, I can't believe that you are already 10 days old. Strangely, it feels like you have been part of our family forever. You fit in so well. You only wake me up a couple of times a night, eat like a champ, snuggle so well, and most importantly you don't get upset when your sister torments you by shoving a pacifier in your mouth every 3 minutes. You have peed on me twice, daddy three times, our bed twice, and your wall twice. I have been amazed at how messy you are. I have done a load of YOUR laundry every night for the last 8 days. I have pretty much held you every chance I have had since we came home. I could stare at your sweet little orange face for hours. I cherish you, precious little boy. I am so glad that you are here.

So... How is Kayleigh doing?

Well, I am pretty sure most days that she has lost her mind. Seriously. A day or two after the "newness" wore off with Casen, she started acting out. Taking off her clothes, screaming, spitting milk, purposefully peeing in her pants, answering "no" to everything, throwing her panties across the room....
.... pulling all of the stuffing out of my chair....

... eating applesauce with a paintbrush while I unsuspectingly take a picture (actually, I laughed when I uploaded and saw this!)...

But she has her sweet moments too, like when she shares her toys with him...

... or ASKS to hold him...

I just hope this phase passes soon.

Jaundice

Apparently, I have another yellow baby. It is funny to me because, like with the Bear, I can't tell that he is. We have had to take him in for several bili checks. His latest was 14.5 which combined with the fact that he is almost back up to his birth weight means that we don't have to take him back until he is 2 weeks old!

Belly Button!

Casen's little belly button fell off at just 4 days old! It is so cute!

Oh Christmas Tree...

We put up our Christmas tree this weekend. It took us 2 days to finally get it up between our sick toddler and my pregnant rear moving at a snails pace.

When we finished I of course wanted to get a picture of the bear in front of it like this and this, but all the Bear wanted to do was make White Dog say "cheese" and refuse to sit up (even though I bribed her with M&Ms). So this is the best I got.

And just for kicks, look at this cute in front of the tree picture I found: Where did our babies go????
