Amanda's Bridal Lunch

Cake balls. If you have never had these, you seriously have to try them. This is the recipe that I have used. Mine never came out this pretty.

Amanda and her sisters (hi girls!) who read this blog.

Yummy lunch with the best pumpkin muffin (and only pumpkin muffin) I have ever had. Seriously, if I would have known what it was.... I wouldn't have eaten it. But it was seriously SO good!

Amanda and some of her cute friends.

My Mimi and my mom.

Matt did so well! Just look at how cute his new wife is! Amanda is just the sweetest girl I have met. I am SO excited to have her as my sister in law. Oh, and she will entertain me with my posed sit-there-and-look-cute-with-your-frozen-hot-chocolate pictures and not roll her eyes at me (yet.)

The moms

The gifts.
You have no idea how excited I was to get this. I have been carrying my makeup around in a Target sack, no kidding. Now, I am fancy!

Thank you, Amanda!

Frogger

My mom and I found these tiny, cute, little guys in the yard this afternoon. I got really excited and ran to grab my camera (of course). These were the best pictures that I got. Sometimes I miss all of the critters that I grew up around, we don't have many here.

Long Weekend!

We had a very long weekend. My brother got married in Waco. Expect pictures throughout the week, it is taking me forever to edit them!

For now, here is a picture of us right before the wedding!

Water Table Fun

King of the Grill

Sean has been itching to get his grill set up since the day that we moved into the house. After spending 3 hours putting it together the other night, we had some YUMMY chicken sandwiches.

"Bear-topia"

The Bear has her own indoor play area at the new house. She loves it. She can ride her pink pony around on the tile, bounce on the zebra, then go down the slide.... and do it all over again. We LOVE having this much space!

Oh, and YES my new house has a dutch door. How stinkin' cool is that?

She's got us wrapped around her fingers!

Is it too much to ask?

All I wanted was a picture of the Bear in her Baylor outfit on Friday before we watched the game with some friends. Obviously, that is too much to ask. This is the best face that I got before she ran off to play with some rocks. Ughhh.

Cracks

No.... not THAT crack, silly. Like the ones in the sidewalk. Kayleigh is still not so sure of them, so she won't walk over them.... she crawls over them just in case.

Sleepy Baby

This is classic tired Kayleigh.

I can't get over how OLD she is starting to look. She is most definitely a toddler now... soo sad.

Oh, and I found my flash!!! Well, actually Sean found it, but no more crummy pictures!

Pack Rat

The bear has started taking possession of things that she likes and stuffing them in her crib. It's hilarious to see what she deems "important." So far, it has been diapers, shoes (she LOVES her shoes), and a book.

Kayleigh bear was such a good little helper yesterday!

Adios, 1822

We are officially out of the apartment! It was bittersweet. I won't lie, I cried a couple of tears once while cleaning. I mean after all, this is the place I brought my baby home to. We are so happy to be able to spread out in the new place and we will make just as many memories here.

I was trying to take a picture of each room, just for memories.... Kayleigh obviously wanted to be in the one of her room. I though it was kinda cute!

THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT THE 1822:
1. This guy. He obviously had no job because all he did was lay by the pool. I have never seen this man with a shirt on and without his visor. And yes, that is a very long ponytail.
2. The bird's eye view of the world.
3. The beautiful light for all of my pictures, the new house is very cave-like.
4. Garden tubs. Our 1950's tubs are just not the same.
5. Having an AC unit in our room. I am so stinking hot here.
6. All of the pretty landscaping.
7. Free pizza night (though it was never the same without you, Tara).
8. The pool.
9. The patio to dry my diapers on (I am SURE my neighbors loved that!)
10. The laundry being INSIDE of the house.

THINGS I WILL NOT MISS ABOUT THE 1822:
1. Dog poop, everywhere.
2. Getting warning stickers on my car for parking in the handicap spot. Don't they know that having a baby is a handicap. Oh, and they were lying.... they never towed me "next time."
3. 1000 square feet with a baby, a dog, and a WHOLE lot of stuff.
4. groceries + stairs + baby = ughhh.
5. Car alarms going off for no apparent reason in the middle of the night.
6. The sugar ants.
7. All of the Chinese Take out menus rubber-banded to the door handle ( SO WASTEFUL!).
8. Hearing other people walk, talk, listen to music.....
9. Getting wet when it is raining in the mornings.

My Love.

Every time I want to test something on my camera, I take a picture of Sean with it. I have about 50 pictures of this face, so I thought I should share the wealth with all of you.
I think something is up with my lens, my pictures are not coming out nearly as sharp as they used to.

Now, that's a BIG ba-ba!

Kayleigh knows how to share...

Please excuse all of the blah pictures lately. Our new house is SO dark and I haven't found my flash from the move.

Kayleigh Words

Although she does not speak in actual words, she definitely has Kayeligh words for all of her favorite things. Here are the words that we have been able to decipher:

"Kee-Ko" - Cosmo
"Baa- Baa" - Cup
"Shoo" - Shoe
"Ite-Iog" - White Dog
"Ahhh-Onn" - All Done
"Bye Bye" - Bye

She also says "daa- di." At first, we thought she was saying daddy..... until she pointed to a lovely picture of some dancing African women at the doctor's office and said "daa-di." hum.....

The Beggers

Sean just can't eat anything around here without Kayleigh and Cosmo at his feet. I don't exactly feel sorry for him because he started it. He will give Kayleigh a little bite here, Cosmo a little bite there..... and now that think that everything he eats is for them. It drives me nuts.

Brush 'Em, Brush 'Em, Brush 'Em

We brushed the Bear's teeth for the first time yesterday. At first, she really wasn't too sure about it.
Then, she decided that she wanted to brush her teeth on her own, so we let her.

Then, she threw a fit when we finally took the tooth brush away, I laughed at her a little bit. I kinda want to print this to hang in her bathroom for when she gets older and she doesn't want to brush her teeth. Then I could point to the picture and remind her that she used to love brushing her teeth so much that she would cry when it was over. In my perfect world she would then say, "Oh, thanks for reminding me.... mother. I will go brush my teeth now without fussing."

.... and she still eyeing that toothbrush, silly girl!

Sweet Summertime!

A yard, all to ourselves!

We finally have some space that we don't have to share with anyone. It is so great to go outside and stretch out. Kayleigh just loves exploring. As you can tell by the last picture, we are learning boundaries. She is not happy that Sean won't let her cross the line into the street. Oh, and I have no idea where her other shoe was.... oops!

A Sneek Peak at the New House

More to come, later.

Old Buddy

Cosmo found an old friend of his. They go back at least 2 years, they were big buddies. He is so happy to have his friend back.

Bear with me.... I WILL get caught up with posting, it's been a crazy week!
