Two Under Two

I am watching my nephew a couple times a week this summer. He is so much fun to have here. Kayleigh has been so entertained (I have too!). Little man is almost 2 and SO much fun.
Here he is showing Kayleigh how to get out of the baby gate..... Thanks.

He LOVES vacuum cleaners.

And flashlights.

It sure is a handful watching both of them, but I am really enjoying it!

Strawberries

I think she liked them, what do you think?

What a great weekend!

My friends came to twon this weekend. It was so nice to just have "girl" time. We went shopping and had a slumber party.... it was GREAT! Jen was excited to get to take pictures of a baby, so she took all of these.

Me and Kayleigh doing the "chicken dance" together. She get so excited when I start singing it. I will post a video later.

I wish I would have fixed my hair and put on makeup. Ughhh.

I seriously laughed out loud when I saw this on my card.

Heyyyyyy Sic 'Em Bears!

"Ummmm..... excuse me....."

Kayleigh refuses to eat her meal unless there is some type of meat on her plate. I know it sounds silly, but it is SO true! She will refuse to eat unless there is some type of chicken or deli meat. She would make a terrible vegetarian.

Turn your back for just one minute around here.....

.... and this is what you get.

Swim Time!

We take Kayleigh swimming ALL the time now. She loves it. The other day, Tara invited us to come swim with her and Bailey. It was overcast and chilly, but the girls seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully, the sun will join us next time!

It's OK to be Jealous

We have had lots of visitors the last couple of days. My mom and dad came up Sunday. My mom left today :(, and Linda came up about an hour later. When she walked in I noticed that she was carrying a Bush's bag. I figured it was just left over trash..... WAS I WRONG! I miss this fine dining establishment a great deal. Everytime that I go to Waco I either want to eat there or Schmaltz. I really miss those familiar, "hole in the wall" places to eat.

View From The Top

We have a leg hugger on our hands. If you walk by her, she immediately grabs your pants, pulls up, and latches on. At first it was cute......

Let's Go Fly a Kite

When Sean has an idea, he cannot get it out of his head. Take for example, the kite. Sean decided last week that he needed a kite, not just any kite, a cool (read: more expensive than The Dollar Tree) kite. So he of course found a place to get one and bought it. Then he took me with him to fly it.

It took 15 minutes just to put it together. I snapped some pretty pictures of weeds at sunset.

Then it wouldn't fly because we set up shop in what my fourth graders know as a landform called a basin. Not much good wind down there. So the kite kept getting tangled.

After about 30 tries of me holding up the kite, Sean running with it, the kite taking a nose dive back into the earth, he FINALLY got it flying! (can you see him? he and the kite are REALLY small).

I'm glad he used his allowance on it, I have a feeling I won't be seeing it again anytime soon!

Swimming - Day 2

The second time we went swimming, it was late in the day and the bear had not had her nap. She didn't enjoy it as much.
Can you see me? I was there, I am just not about to plaster a picture of me in a bathing suit on the internet...... ick! This is the best that you will get!
Splish, Splash!
Grammy came to the pool with us. I wasn't sure if she wanted her picture in a bathing suit on the internet, so I left her off.

Jack In The Box

Kayleigh's grammy brought her this Jack in the Box when she came to visit this weekend. Kayleigh said to tell you thank you, grammy. She loves it! How priceless is the first picture?

Swimming!

We took the Bear swimming for the first time on Saturday. I think I was just as excited as she was! She stayed in the water for about an hour. She had the best time splashing and kicking. She floated around in her crabby float for a little bit. I am so excited that she liked it! You will find us at the pool everyday this summer!

Sporting her new bikini! I SO wish that I had her confidence by the pool!

You know it's time to go home when the baby is sleepy and pruny!

Light.

10 Months Old!

My baby bear is now 10 months old! Seems pretty unbelievable to me! I know I am her mom and I HAVE to say this, but she seriously gets cuter ever day! She is starting to be such a mess!
Some of her 10 month memories:
Kayleigh is into everything now!
She says Da da while looking at Sean, Ma ma is still questionable.
She eats pretty much anything cut up small. Her favorite is turkey deli meat.
She is walking up and down the furniture while holding on.
She is starting to get more personality and has added 2 quite funny faces to her repertoire, one surprised and one mad.
She is drinking formula out of a cup a couple times a day.
She is taking on 2 to 3 hour nap a day.
She likes to "walk" around the house while holding your hand.
She has started sleeping with a bear at night.
