My Sweet Kayleigh Bear,

You have become a toddler in every sense of the word. You are into everything. You could eat crackers and ranch dressing all day long and be happy. You have me read you Go Dog, Go over and over.... so much that I have it memorized. You are obsessed with puppies and point them out every time you see one. You love to test the limits. I have to tell you daily not to stand on your table, but you look at me and do it anyway. You color in your nice books no matter how many times I tell you not to. When I take away your crayons, you throw yourself on the floor and kick and scream for a few minutes before you get distracted. Oh, and yesterday you wrote on my coffee table with the blue crayon. Eesh.... You are obsessed with shoes. You love to wear our shoes around the house. Today in Old Navy you threw a fit because I didn't buy you a pair of flip flops. You threw your Croc halfway across the store because you were angry. I guess that was better than hitting yourself in the head.... that is what you usually do. You call anything you drink "milk." You don't really like water (or as you call it "milk") but you LOVE the milk out of the fridge. You are quite bossy also. You tell daddy everyday where to put Cosmo's food and drag us around the house to get us to do what you want. You are quite the cuddlebug and share bear when it comes to mommy and daddy. I love to hear you "talk" to yourself while you are laying in your crib in the mornings. I love you SO, SO much. Please stop growing up.

Love, Mommy

Life.

1. Someone (probably me) forgot to put the frozen corn up. Hope it is still good.
2. Cosmo, Kayleigh dropped food. Come clean up!
3. I trip over this toy at least once a day. It would disappear, but Kayleigh really likes it.
4. The rug is outside. Kayleigh pulled a pan that was soaking off of the counter and got soapy cheesy spanish style rice all over it. It was gross.
5. Clorox Anywhere spray = my favorite cleaning product.
6. Maybe one day we will actually get the counter fixed, until then the blue tape will stay.
7. Ughhh, I have to work Parent's Night Out this month.
8. It seems like I see that roll empty more than I actually see paper towels on it.
9. But it's ok because I mostly use un-paper towels. The throw away kind would have been nice to clean up the mess from earler (see #4).

Baby Bunny

Kayleigh has been hilarious lately after she gets out of the bath. She is so wound up that she starts running around the house stark naked. There is nothing like watching a cute little toddler booty run by. It makes me so happy every night!

PS- Tomorrow is the TAKS test. I am SO happy to get it over with and get on with my life. If you think about it, please say a prayer for relaxation for my kiddos tomorrow!

Playdough!

My mom gave Kayleigh this playdough for Christmas. She loves playing with it.... well, really just putting it in and out of the container. She knows that it must stay at the table and does pretty well with it.

Are you serious?

First off, I LOVE my husband. I really do, but I just had to tell y'all this story.

So last Saturday (yes, I am THAT far behind in blogging) Sean got Kayleigh up and let me sleep in (see why I love him?). I was happily slumbering when he woke me up and told me to get the video camera. Did I mention that this was at 7:45 AM? Well, I jumped up and asked him what was wrong. He informed me that there was a possum in the trash can and he was going to tump it over and let the possum go. "Are you seroious?" Imagine my annoyance when I asked him if the possum could get out on his own and he responded with "no." So really, that possum would have still been there at 9:00 when I got up. So, eventually I got out of bed and got the video camera. Sean was excited to have the video on the blog, but it was extremely anti-climactic. You see, Sean expected the possum to jump out and do something funny. Instead, it did exactly what a possum is supposed to do, it played dead.

So, to appease my husband, here is a picture of the little guy.

Ucky

First off, don't worry, the Bear is not sick. She is obsessed with blowing her nose, runny or not. She politely asks for toilet paper and then she wads it up and blows her nose. Sometimes she will tell us that it is "ucky" and throw it away. Usually, she will carry it around for a while. I guess it is much better than having a kiddo with snot always on their face!

What does a bear say?

Me: "Kayleigh, what does a bear say?"
Kayleigh: "Hey (we are still working on adding Sic'em Bears)."

Bubbles!

Its been a few months since our first bubble fiasco, so I figured maybe we should try again. Well, Kayleigh has decided that she LOVES bubbles now... so much that we already used the entire bottle of Mr. Bubble. She loves to get them on her hand and have me blow them off into the air. She also gets a kick out of trying to scoop them up with her cup and pushing them all to one side of the tub.

Oh, and just look at that picture. Who is that big girl that kinda looks like me in my bathtub? Seriously, where did my baby go???

Adore.

Elmo "Bia-per"

Kayleigh loves Elmo and figured out that he is on her Pampers. Well, to save money I bought Walmart brand last time. Now everytime I change her she grabs the diaper and pathetically says "Elmo Bia-per (diaper)." Talk about making me feel horrible about switching to generic!

Great Weekend!

This weekend was great! We got to spend time with BOTH of our families in one weekend! Going back to work tomorrow will be hard!

Stinky

The Bear imitates EVERYTHING we do lately.

Mmmmmm....

I took the Bear out yesterday to see the daffodils (yes, I am obsessed). I showed her how to smell the flowers and say mmmmm..... She did really good until...

Yeah, that right. She started ripping them apart and telling me that they were trash. I (of course) got upset and just told her to sit in the chair with them and look pretty for a picture. This is the look I got. Eeshhhh...

Yes, I am still alive.

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately. I have been sick, along with half of the kiddos I teach. I promise, I have been taking pictures. They will be blogged shortly.

Until then, Kayleigh wants you to take a bite of the green pear.

Black Thumb

I found this sprouting up in the back yard. Does any one know what type of flower it is? Is it a tulip? Do you think there is anything I need to do to "take care" of it?

I am really good at killing plants.

Little Sniffles

The Bear has a little runny nose. Good thing she can take care of it herself now!

The Pricer

Here are a few pictures of the little dude that I caught this weekend. I love this kid like he was my own, that's probably why you see him so much on this blog. Isn't he SUCH a cutie?

The BIG 2-6

I had a birthday this weekend. It was the best one that I have had in years! Usually, I have to spend it at work.... but this year I spent it at the happiest place on Earth (no, not Disney) ... WACO! My mom, Kayleigh and I met Jen and Glenn, Lee, Kristy and Price, and Molly at Bush's for a birthday lunch. Afterwards, we went to the playground to let the kiddos run themselves crazy (pictures tomorrow). The night of we went to La Fiesta and had a girl's only slumber party at the Boyd's house. I loved getting to see my family and friends on my actual birthday!

And are you wondering what Sean gave me? Exactly what I asked for.... and let me tell you this is the BEST toothbrush EVER!

Oh, and instead of a cake I got a 9 x 13 pan of my mom's cinnamon rolls with EXTRA icing. I am sad to say that I have already eaten half of them. Good thing I have been running.

First Braid!

When I picked the Bear up today, the lady that keeps her had braided her hair. I am soo impressed that she sat still long enough to let her do it! Sooo cute!

I feel like I am the type of person that can make just about anything.... but I have NEVER been able to french braid. I have tried and tried and just can't make it happen. So I guess you won't see many pictures of braids unless someone else does it!

What a Day!

Well, we had a long day. Sean was at church all day (with his phone off), so I had the Bear alone. We ran a few errands and came home. When we got home, I ran the dogs outback to go potty. I usually take the Bear, but this time I left her inside (yeah, you can see where this is going.) Don't call CPS, I could see her up against the sliding glass door the whole time. Well, she picked up the stick that we keep in the track so no one can break in and she put it back in the track..... locking herself in the house. My heart dropped. I jumped over the fence (haven't done that in 15 years) and ran next door. After the neighbors and I tried to get her to pick it up, we had to resort to calling the fire department. An hour and a half after she put the stick in, I had the Bear in my arms. Don't worry, she wasn't too upset. She found her bowl of Goldfish and ate them while she watched the firefighters. I feel like a horrible, awful, no good, very bad mom. I cried, hugged her, and then made sure I got a quick picture for the blog.
